THINKING OF MOVING? HERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS!!
The real estate market has been a little challenging for the last few years. Many homeowners who considered moving felt the market was too uncertain, and many of us have been waiting it out. As a real estate professional, I’m thrilled to report a positive outlook for those who are thinking about selling.
Here are some stats:
-According to our local RMLS inventory of available homes has significantly decreased. In March 2015 there was a 1.9 month supply of homes, this is below the 6 month supply that many real estate professionals consider normal. This is also the lowest inventory we have seen since September 2005.
-Conversely according to the Realtors Multiple Listing Service (RMLS), Portland-Metro area home sales rose 7.1 percent in February 2015 from March 2015.
-Additionally the total market time has decreased in March 2015 to 75 days for our Portland-Metro areas.
I am sharing this information with you because inventory in [city or neighborhood] is low, and I am hearing from agents and prospective buyers that they just can’t find what they are looking for.
If you’ve thought about selling please give me a call. I’d love to visit with you for a no obligation and no pressure consultation.
